It is most important to recognize the importance of community input before deciding what project or program to implement. When empowered, communities can play a bigger role together with stakeholders such as private sector, community-based organizations and universities as supporting links that come together from diverse sectors of food systems. This can be done in various ways for example to help reform, resolve, or build awareness around food issues in a given community. The leaders in these communities are better placed to advise government and advocate the needs of those same communities. Click here for view impact from this project
